It's good to hear a tech/tabletop RPG crossover. I just got a tablet myself (Acer A500), and got to use it at a local con (GottaCon, Victoria BC) for some tabletop gaming. I basically agree with your asessment, the books are better, but... <br />The processor power of the tablet is probably important (I'm happy with my Acer's dual-core Tegra processor), as is screen size (once again I like the 10 inch screen on my Acer). As was mentioned a good pdf viewer is essential (I use ezPDF as well). Add in good battery life and ample storage (most Android tablets will take an SD or micro-SD card), and your back will thank you! I was carrying a whole library with me, plus notes and everything else.<br />So tablets are good, but I was doing all this 3 years ago with a net book. I will grant that I prefer my tablet, but it's just doing the same thing essentially. <br />Of course now you guys will need to have a follow-up episode on etiquette for electronics at the gaming table.Grimpennoreply@blogger.com
