Eventhough there did seem to be a lull in Old West RPGs throughout the 80s, the last 10 or 15 years has brought numerous options unto us: Deadlands (of course), Sidewinder, OGL Wild West, Aces & Eights, Sixguns & Sorcery (for Castle Falkenstein), Coyote Trail, Dust Devils, etc., etc.

So while there was an inexplicable pause in the genre (between the release of Boot Hill and all of these other fine games) Old West gaming is not dead and is showing no sign of going anywhere.
